Madam Vice President,
Despite some progress, the implementation of VDPA still confronts numerous obstacles, among which are political polarization, double standards, poverty and inequality, climate change, protectionism, and unilateral cohesive measures.
The development of new technologies, such as AI and biotechnology, has drawn the attention of the international community to their impacts on human rights. Addressing all these problems requires strengthened international cooperation.
The public goods proposed by China, including the Belt and Road Initiative, the three global initiatives on development, security and civilization, and the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, are contributing to promoting global cooperation and mutual understanding among nations.
My organization urges governments of all countries and civil society to participate in these initiatives and jointly reinforce multilateralism centered on the UN, and the UN should redouble its efforts to enhance coordination, capacity building, and awareness raising in this regard.
