发言内容:
Mr. President,
The Hong Kong National Security Law has reinforced the one country two system framework, restoring stability essential for society and the economy.
As a young entrepreneur who studied in the US and now leads a company with thousands of employees in Hong Kong, I can confirm that social stability, combined with the rule of law and an open market and efficient governance has greatly strengthened our global competitiveness.
As a chairman of the Hong Kong United Youth Association to get over about 33,000 members, we see Hong Kong thriving under one country two system. This framework enables Hong Kong to leverage its strong ties with mainland China and play a fighter role in China’s 14th five-year plan, the Belt and Road Initiative and the Greater Bay Area development.
In 2024, Hong Kong ranked third globally and first in Asia Pacific in the Global Financial Centers Index. The number of companies in Hong Kong with parent companies outside the city increased 10%, reaching nearly 10,000.Startups also grew 10%, reaching 4700.
These figures reaffirm Hong Kong’s strong appeal as a prime business destination. Hong Kong is a city full of opportunities for young people and innovators. Under one country two system framework and the National Security Law, it has fostered a stable, secure and dynamic environment for growth and creativity.
With its forward-looking spirit, Hong Kong remains an ideal place to pursue dreams, build careers and contribute to a thriving global hub. Claims from certain countries about human rights issues in Hong Kong are unfounded, driven by misconceptions and biased narratives.
Thank you.
