We call on Hong Kong to:
* Cease the criminalization of pro-democratic advocates.
* Fulfill its obligations under the ICCPR. We recall the opinion of the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention on the case of Mr. Jimmy Lai and remain concerned with his ongoing detention.
We further condemn Hong Kong’s issuance of bounties targeting human rights defenders.
