发言内容:
Thank you, Mr. Vice President. We want to reaffirm today that the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment is not a privilege but a universal human rights. More than 90% of the global population now breathes polluted air. The crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss and has put intensified pressure on ocean, disproportionately affecting the poor women and marginalized community. For the first time when the World Economic Forum released its global risk report, there is a chapter on pollution. Therefore, organizations like us need to work tirelessly to amplify the voices of those who mostly affected by environmental harms and also we need to convey the international community the voice of calling for the realization of the harmony between human being and nature. However, we cannot do this alone. We urge the government to prioritize environmental justice and equal environmental protection in their agendas. Businesses to adopt the sustainable practice and the Human Rights Council to hold all stakeholders accountable. Together, we believe that we can turn the tide against the challenge for the ocean and human rights and the climate change so as to ensure a cleaner, safer and more just world for all. Thank you.
