It has been more than 2 years since the office of the High Commissioner published its report on Xinjiang, China.
Japan continues to be deeply concerned about the human rights situation in the region,all countries,including China,must uphold universal values such as freedom and respect for fundamental human rights.
Japan strongly urges China to take further concrete,positive steps to address this issue,including by providing transparent explanations concerning the situation in Xinjiang.
