Mr vice president,
We welcome the report by the Special Rapporteur also highlighting academic freedom in China.
The Chinese government,in addition to imposing a harmful boarding school system openly declares it’s agenda to indoctrinate Tibetan children and students with Chinese Communist Party ideology.
Indoctrination measures are applied systematically, they prescribe military personnel to inclucate primary school students in so called national security issues.
Trips to propaganda sites,speech contests and study session,slogans, such as I quote ,inheriting the red gene and cultivating patriotic sentiments are repeatedly used, leaving no doubt about the intentions of the Chinese authorities.
The above mentioned measures solely and forcefully conveyed the Chinese government’s ideology vis a vis the Tibetan people and to meet the rights violations. The Chinese state against the Tibetan people at present and particularly in history,and they violate the right to quality education and the right of all individuals,groups and people to enjoy and have access to their own cultural heritage.
They also violate the right to freedom of opinion expression and information. Article 13 of the ICESCR and Article 28 and 29 of the CRC.
We thereforecall on the Chinese government to end all indoctrination measures imposed on Tibetan children.
