Thank you, Vice president.China NGO Network for International Exchanges appreciates the Special Rapporteur efforts.
We have noted that the Japanese government violated it’s international obligations by discharge in nuclear contaminated water into the ocean. Regardless of massive objections from within Japan and the world at large,such behavior endangers the marine environment and human health,and influences on the legitimate rights and interests of neighboring countries.
Countless people are affected just the think of the children who can’t grow up in the healthy environment and the fisherman whose livelihood is taken away.Environment is the basic condition for everyone survival.UN Human Rights Council resolution 4813 recognize that the right to a clean,healthy and sustainable environment is a fundamental human right.
We call on the United Nations human rights council to urge the Japanese government to respect basic human rights,and immediately correct is wrong doing.
We also urge the United Nations to nominate August 24th that they want Japan to start discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the ocean as the Global Marine Environment Disaster Day.We believe that the world people will forever remember this day.
