Mr. President,
Algeria warmly welcomes the distinguished delegation of China.
We note with encouragement, the progress being made by China in respect of the socio-economic development of its people. In this context, we welcome the policies it has adopted to address issues of health, education, housing, poverty alleviation, food, and social security.
We would like to make the following recommendations:
- Continue its national efforts to realize social and economic development and eradicate poverty, and achieve comprehensive sustainable development for all.
- Continue to promote discussions in the Human Rights Council on the role of development in promoting and protecting human rights.
We wish the Government of China a successful review.
