We remain concerned about the human rights violations in China, including arbitrary detention, forced labor, torture, and restrictions on cultural rights in Xinjiang and Tibet. We call on China to end discrimination against minorities and to fully cooperate with the OHCHR and the special procedures of the Council.
We urge the authorities in Hong Kong to safeguard freedoms of peaceful assembly, association, and expression.
