Ireland reiterates our concerns over restrictions on civic space in China. We remain concerned about the treatment of ethnic and religious groups including Tibetans and Uyghurs and we repeat our call on China to implement recommendations from OHCHR’s Xinjiang assessment. We also continue to be concerned by the erosion of fundamental freedoms in Hong Kong.
