Thank you,vice president.
The US and the UK.And few other countries and NGOs have abused the platform of Human Rights Council and interfere with China’s judicial sovereignty under the pretext of human rights.
China expressed strong opposition and firm rejection to it. China is the country governed by the rule of law ,torture is considered a serious criminal offense in China. Chinese law clearly prohibits torture to extract concessions.and It’s the prohibits beating,scolding, corporate punishment and abuse of detainees.
China has established and improved various law enforcement systems and supervision and restriction mechanism for preventing torture.and It has achieved the full coverage of laws,training,supervision,and accountability.
China’s Hong Kong SAR, Let me reiterate, China’s Hong Kong SAR, no others, is a society governed by the rule of law.The Hong Kong national security law has made up for Hong Kong’s long standing legal loopholes in safeguarding national security and initiated a major transition in Hong Kong from chaos to governance.
Hong kong residents’ various legal rights and freedoms can be better exercised in a safe environment.and It is widely welcomed in Hong Kong.
Jimmy Lai’s case is on the trial and the procedure is open and fair. The case is still sub duties,no person and organization should try to interfere in relevant cases or create public pressure to help him escape from trial.
A handful of countries and NGOs such behavior in HRC violate the rule of law, and damage the reputation of the UN .and surely we are not succeed to serve its purpose.
