In line with international human rights law, all children should have access to at least basic social protection,including health care,income,security, nutrition,education care,and other necessary services.
However,according to ILO and UNICEF jointly released report, more than 1.77 billion of the 2.4 billion children worldwide have no access to social protection.
We are deeply concerned about such a high percentage and urged all the states to providing universal social protection for children,particularly note facing intersection forms of discrimination and vulnerable situations.
Sufficient funding should be allocated and prioritize the most vulnerable children ensuring their basic rights to social protection.
We really appreciate the report reflected voices of 600 children from 24 countries through recent submissions,folks group discussion,and online consultation is implemented in partnership with child rights connect.we know this does not represent all children world wide and promote insight to social protection.
This process give Children without social production,a voice and engage them in processes that concern them.
We hope this could be a normal practice for all the reports and decision making relating to children.Children’s voices should be heard and respected equally as adults ,NGOs and civil society have important role player achieving inclusive social protection for all the children,
