Urgent appeal to address the multiple and intersecting crises.Our world faces through a commitment to fulfill rights without hierarchy or distinction.In this regard,we echo his calls to address the planetary crisis and and hunger.We echo to his call to redouble efforts to uphold the rights of minorities,facing violence and discrimination in India.
We too are appalled by the indifference to the thousands reported dead or missing out in and around international borders and the horrific treatment of migrants and asylum seekers.Violations,such as those identified in his update,are one reason why this council should reestablish an accountability process for Libya.
We further express our deepest condolences regarding the recent flooding and call for prompt global mobilization to support all affected communities without discrimination.
We hope that states will heed his words and set up an international human rights fact finding mission regarding the port explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.
We welcome his offices planned visit to Bahrain and hope it will document and help improve poor conditions at Jaw prison as highlighted by the recent mass hunger strike there.We urge all with leverage to insist that the Bahraini authorities immediately and unconditionally release all those arbitrarily detained, including prisoner of conscience of Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja.
His offices report on China must serve as a wake-up call for action. We urge this council in his office to take steps commensurate with the gravity of violations.This council must establish an international accountability mechanism on Xinjiang .
We welcome his office this report on Sri Lanka and emphasize this that this council must continue to support and strengthen the Sri Lanka accountability project.
