Mr. President,
Romania welcomes the presentation by China of the UPR report and would like to make the following recommendations:
- To ratify the ICCPR.
- To establish a moratorium on execution with a view to the abolition of death penalty.
- To take immediate measures aiming at combating discrimination on any grounds for all citizens of China, including for persons belonging to religious and ethnic minorities.
- To protect women from trafficking in persons, sexual and gender-based violence.
- To take immediate measures aiming at ensuring freedom of association and expression, and create a safe environment for journalists and other media workers.
