Mr president,
As we mark the second anniversary of the High Commissioner Uyghur report last month.
We are concerned that no action has been taken since it is publication.
Recently propaganda visit to the region have increased, showing that the lives of Uyghurs improved, However,I must remind the international community that Uyghurs continue to suffer in silence.
Recent reports have indicated a drastic increase in prison rate,the charge related to terrorism and the long term sentence without due process.
In June, Human Rights Watch published a new report, identifying that between 2017 and 2019, 630 Uyghur Villages’ name changed due to their religious,cultural and historical nature, This practice remains on going.
The latest finding confirms existing report of assimilation , policy implemented slowly over the years,and they attempt to erase Uyghurs’ identity, which includes our cultural heritage , identity, way of life……

Mr. Dolkun Isa: ……identity and the way of life, for most people living in that region,they still have no access, no communication with their own relatives.
We urge the High Commissioner and the office to continue reporting all the issue and the take meaningful step to address this crime,
this is the form where accountable measures should be discussed, not avoided.
