We appreciate the report by the Special Rapporteur.
Terrorism is the common enemy of humanity,posing a great threat to international peace and security,and representing a challenge to all countries and all of humanity. to fight it is the common responsibility of the international community.
Over the decades,China has actively responded to the call of United Nations fulfill its international responsibility made and enforce domestic laws and strengthen the international cooperation against terrorism.
In this process.China respects and protects human rights as an underlying principle.It integrates the punishments of terrorist activities with the protection of human rights,China’s efforts in counter-terrorism promote security,stability,and economic and social development, which further safeguards the basic rights of Chinese people,such as the right to survival and development.
In this regard, Xinjiang is a perfect example. The per capita disposable income of local people increased over 100% from 2012 to 2022. By the end of 2020, All 3 million local individuals living below the poverty line had emerged from poverty. And local tourism also developed into aindustry that boosts employment and enriches the lives of the local people.
