Barbados extends a warm welcome to the delegation of China and thanks them for the comprehensive report.
On education, we commend the steps made by China, including the functioning of the National Student Loan policy, to assist families in need of support. We also welcome the integration of Human Rights into the national school curriculum.
We make the following recommendations:
- We recommend increase efforts by China, on the transformation to green industries and continued development of clean energy systems.
- We recommend continued support of women’s economic empowerment, including through education and employment opportunities.
We wish China a successful UPR.
