Thank you, Mr. President,
Rwanda welcomes members of the delegation of China and thank them for the presentation of their National Report.
Rwanda appreciates China’s completion of 168 goals and tasks set out in the National Human Rights Action Plan and the ongoing efforts to implement the process of National Human Rights Action Plan by 2025.
Rwanda further commends China for having built asocial security system which has provided subsistence allowances for more than 40 million people, allowances for nearly 5 million especially impoverished people.
Rwanda recommends to China the following;
- Consider ratifying the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights;
- Consider ratifying the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families;
Rwanda wishes China a successful review.
